Cascarino's - Official pizza of NY Mets

"Where Everyday is a Sunday"

While working at Citibank, I had the pleasure of trying Cascarino's pizza in the company cafeteria. Cascarino's is the official pizza of the New York Met's. The connection being that Citibank built the new Met's stadium, CitiField. Cascarino's was established in 1989 by Robert Cascarino in College Point NY. There are currently four locations, in addition to the booths at CitiField.

Cascarino's is traditional brick oven pizza. They specialize in specialty pies. Such as:
Cascarino's Famous Grandma Sicilian

Chicken & Broccoli

B.B.Q. Chicken (Buffalo Chicken)

Chicken Parmigiana

White Pizza

Grilled Chicken w/Mushrooms

Stuffed Italian Combo

Brochetta

Lasagna

Salad

Mellenzana

Bacon Tomato or Bacon Potato

Stuffed Eggplant

Tomato & Basil

On a recent trip in New York to see a show at Roseland ballroom I stumbled across Famous Famiglia Pizzeria on 50th & Broadway. Little did I know I was about to try the official pizza of the New York Yankees. I tried a plain slice, and thought it was very good.
Famous Famiglia currently has locations all over the U.S. along with 6 stands at Yankee Stadium. Follow this link to look up a location.

This location was also used to raise funds for charity on an episode of "Celebrity Apprentice." If Donald Trump endorses their pizza, you know it must be good.

Dr. Oetker Pizza

I had the pleasure of sampling Dr. Oetker Pizza's as a product tester for Buzzagent. I was given two coupons for free pizza and took to the internet to research where they were available. Surprisingly they can be bought at Stop & Shop, Shoprite, Foodtown, and King Kullen.

Dr. Oetker is Italy's number one frozen pizza and is recently launching in the U.S. It currently comes in 6 different flavors. I tried Pizza Spinaci and Pizza Vegetale. I thought both were rich in flavor and very crisp. I would definitely recommend, it didn't taste like frozen pizza.
